Description
MISLend is a QR-enabled equipment management and lending system created by five BSCS 2A students at the University of Caloocan City for the UCC MIS Department. It addresses a familiar campus problem: tracking shared equipment—such as projectors, HDMI cables, and extension cords—through handwritten logbooks is slow, error-prone, and difficult to audit.
Students and faculty can browse equipment availability, scan QR codes, submit borrowing requests, and keep track of their borrowing history and return deadlines. Administrators can manage equipment and accounts, approve or reject requests, record returns and item condition, monitor maintenance, and export transaction records to Excel or CSV.
The system uses a responsive HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frontend, a Node.js and Express API, and a Supabase PostgreSQL database. It also supports generating QR codes for equipment and includes role-specific experiences for students, faculty, and administrators.
